Yummy yoga retreat
14-16 March 2025
Treat yourself to a special retreat in the beautiful environment of the Samadhi rural retreat centre near Otaki.
The price of $599 includes all the teaching, two nights’ shared accommodation and all meals. Check in on the Friday afternoon and draw a sigh of relief.
This fun and relaxing weekend will stretch your body and your mind, with plenty of opportunities to explore the connection between the two.
Come together with a small group in the peaceful natural surrounds at Samadhi for a weekend of yoga, mindfulness, qi gong, forest bathing, great food and company. Four different types of yoga will be presented throughout the weekend. You will also learn some awareness and mindfulness techniques you can use with your eyes open as well as closed so you can take some of the Samadhi peace home with you.
There will be plenty of free time available to enjoy the beautiful environment and your companions with some delicious vegetarian food and comfortable shared accommodation.
Massages are available on request, paid separately.
Don’t miss this chance to give your body and your mind some deep rest and healing.
Samadhi owner and facilitator Rebekah Palmer will be on hand during the weekend to keep you comfortable and soothe your soul with her particular manaakitanga, meditation and mindfulness.
Our yummy yoga teacher will be Millie Forsyth who has more than 20 years’ experience and currently works at Freyberg in Wellington as a Yoga instructor and Personal Trainer.
She loves sharing yoga as a way to reconnect to the self, still the mind and move the body. She offers a holistic approach to wellness, born from a range of therapies she has acquired over the years.
After severely burning her face at 17, she discovered the miraculous effects that lavender had on healing her skin. This initiated her journey of discovery into helping herself and others to heal.
She has studied Aromatherapy and Swedish Massage at Aromatherapy Associates in London, Clinical Nutrition at the Australian College of Natural Therapies, and Personal Training at the New Zealand Institute of Sport.
Millie is a qualified TRE provider, which is trauma/tremor release therapies, spending several years studying TRE trauma release exercises in order to help clients shift some of the blocks that get in the way of living the life they want. By helping release the muscular contractions held deep within the body, emotional shifts tend to happen organically.
