If you’re looking for the perfect place for your wedding photos our lovely retreat centre offers many different and unique scenic backdrops. Nestled into the foothills of the Tararua ranges, the grounds are amazing. There is a lovely three-bedroom house set up as a retreat venue, as well as a large yurt available.
Picture yourself kissing under an apple tree in the orchard, sitting by the serene lotus pond, winding through a bush-covered hill track or nestled in a forest glade dappled with the setting sun.
In Spring there is even a perfect aisle of purple Paulownia trees for a bride to walk between.

Bridal party stays
While we don’t normally hire Samadhi out for wedding ceremonies, you may like to consider a stay by the Bridal party. Perhaps the Bride and Bridesmaids or Maid of Honour would like to stay at Samadhi lodge the night before the photos are taken on the grounds. That allows plenty of time beforehand for getting ready. If you want to make the photo day extra special by adding on a stay the night before, or even as a private honeymoon retreat after the wedding, just let us know and we can see what we can create for you.
